Allin Braund was born in Devon. He studied at Hornsey College of Art, later returning as senior lecturer.
His lithographs were shown in the 1954 British Pavilion in Venice. He was greatly influenced by Braque.
Allin Braund's work is widely collected with examples being held by the V  & A Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York
